Crocodiles are one of the aggressive Reptiles in ATLAS.

Basic Information

Behavior

Crocodiles are aggressive. They will attack other NPCs and players if close. Usually, they spawn in the water but can wander to further inland areas.

They will attack structures if their target is inside or behind them. They are also reskins of the Sarcosuchus

Appearance

Large reptile with a long snout and tail, small legs, and a crest of spines on its head. Looks similar to a real-world crocodile.

Taming

Crocodiles cannot be tamed as of version of ATLAS v8.72

Combat

On Land, they lunge at the player dealing a huge chunk of damage. In the Water, they tend to strafe the player or ship.

Wild

Crocodiles are slow-moving and slow-turning when on land and are easily be outrun by the player. Whilst they move a lot faster in water and cannot be outrun by the player while swimming regardless of swimming skill.

Notes

They can be kited around on land whilst moving around making them turn using a Bow or a Blackpowder Gun to hit its flank.
