Vultures are passive unless they are near a corpse. When they are near a corpse, they become aggressive. Once tamed Vultures are useful for small combat encounters and assistance with corpse harvesting. There is no knowledge of Vultures officially rapidly decaying your body and taking your things, but it appears to be common. not sure if it is a glitch.
