Melee Damage with Hatchet on a target dummy:

EQ FOY Roberts Grog ale ARMOR Single hit Mult base
1 1 1 0 0 0 70 1,44 (?) 49
1 1 0 1 0 33,6 88 1,3 + 0,336 + ? ~49
1 1 0 0 1 19,1 80 1,3 + 0,191 + ?
1 1 0 1 1 19,1 87 1,3 + 0,191 + ?
1 1 1 1 1 19,1 100 1,3 + 0,336 + ?
1 1 1 1 1 33,6 110 1,3 + 0,336 + ?
1 1 0 0 0 0 63 1,3 (ok) 48,5 (calc)
1 1 0 0 0 19,2 73 1,491 or 1,55 (?) 49 additiv, 47 multiplicativ?? (?)
0 1 0 0 0 0 53 1,1 48
0 1 0 0 0 1,191 63 1,1 48
1 1 0 0 0 19,2 73 1,491 or 1,55 (?) 49 additiv, 47 multiplicativ?? (?)

OK. EQ and FOY say the old +Melee Damage Multiplier (how additive but Multiplier??) and Gear shows the Melee Damage Multiplier x19,1%. IT is not.

Metal Pick test

Weapon dmg FoY & EQ Gear Hit Hit/ (Foy + Gear - 1)/Wdmg
1 1,3 1 63 48,46
1 1,3 1,336 80 48,9
1,62 1,3 1 103 49
1,62 1,3 1,336 129 48,76

Here the formula is BaseWeaponDamage * Weapon Damage * 1 + SUM(Melee Damage Multiplier) in case above:

  • 49 BaseWeaponDamage for a MetalPick
  • 1 / 1,62 for a common / Masterwork Metal Pick
  • 0,2 Melee Damage Multiplier from EQ
  • 0,1 Melee Damage Multiplier from FoY (Rejuvenated tier 1)
  • 0,0 / 0,336 from no Gear / for mD crafted gear

Most important in terms of higher damage is that the Weapon Damage is its own multiplier!
