Will fight when cornered and will attack/agro like anything else. Sometimes will flee when being looked at. Unknown if this is intended or not. This would seem like it favors sneak attacks. Attacks can apply a cripple or bleed effect during combat.

To tame Tigers, a player needs Taming Level 3.

It is recommended that you trap them in a taming pen when trying to tame as they tend to run away and have very strong attacks. This seems difficult due to how easily they can outrun you, so it is a smart idea to use a quick pet such as an Ostrich to kite it to your trap (make sure to run far enough to de-aggro so it doesn't kill it!)

However, since they are extremely aggressive, they can get distracted by smaller animals such as Parrots or Seagulls along the way and will roam away from you. You can use this to your advantage, though, because attacking the Tiger with a ranged weapon while they're aggro'd onto a bird will sometimes not get them to aggro you, and it can make a couple easy hits with a bow into a bola.

Another strategy is to take a much larger tame, such as an Elephant or Giraffe, and use it to get some hits in on the Tiger and hold aggro with their very large health (make sure their behavior is set to passive!) so you can easily dismount and get a bola on it. Be careful and have an escape route so your tame does not die; using Nature's Cry makes it very easy for your tame to regain health and not become injured while holding aggro of the Tiger.

Utility[ | ]

Tigers make a decent combat pet with their naturally high damage and speed. However, they have low stamina and can run out of it very quickly if you are not careful. They can gather Prime Animal Meat and Animal Meat from corpses.

Breeding[ | ]

You can Breed Tigers in the following biomes: Eastern Tropics, Eastern Temperate, Western Tropics, Equatorial, Western Tundra.

Acceptable temperatures for Tiger mating and offspring are between 24°C (75°F) and 42°C (107°F). (2019-06-03 Mating was to hot until it dropped to 18°C)

You will need Breeding tier 3 to be able to claim the baby Tiger.

They eat any raw or cooked meat. Salted meat and Salted fish are the best due to spoil rate. They consume one every 15 Seconds. A full stack of salted food (100) lasts for 25 mins exactly before needing to add another stack. This does not account for any meat that may spoil during this time so figure every 20 mins it will require a new stack of food.

Gestation time: 5 hours

Baby to Juvenile: 6 hours

Juvenile to Adolescent:24 hours

Adolescent to Adult: 30 Hours

Imprint every: 8 Hours (7 imprints total, 14.29% per imprint)

Extra 3 hours to imprint to 100% to allow for mistakes.

Combat[ | ]

Left click does a paw swipe that can hit more than one target. Right click does a paw swipe that leaves a bleed effect on the enemy for a short time. Pushing C will make the tiger roar.
