Any reason to use large instead of small crop plots?[]

In Ark, the smalls were for berries and such, mediums were for advanced crops and large were for bio turrets. All plots grew at the same speed and stored the same number of crops, no matter which you used. So it was most cost and space efficient to use the smallest plot possible for your needs. Thus far, I haven't noticed a reason to use large plots in Atlas.

Has anyone found a reason to use large crop plots? If your answer is they hold more water or fertilizer, that isn't a compelling reason for me to waste the skill points, resources and space for them. Do they grow stuff faster? Can you plant more than one type of seed? Will I harvest more produce on average?
