Sheep are one of the passive Mammals in ATLAS.

Sheep will run away when provoked

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Sheep are small herbivores covered with wool, besides for their face and legs. Males have two wavy horns coming out from the top of their heads, while females lack these horns. Mainly a reskin of the Ovis from ARK: Survival Evolved.

Sheep can be passively tamed using chamomile or Berries.

Utility[edit | edit source]

Rideable without a saddle.

Sheep can also scale steeper inclines than other mounts and yourself. They still have limits, but this opens up exploring mountains more.

Can attack while riding.

Harvest minimal Thatch and Wood

Fleece (hide) can be obtained by using Scissors. A sheep with a full coat will provide 200 fleece, but can be harvested at lower amounts before its coat is fully grown.

Breeding[edit | edit source]

You can breed Sheep in the following biomes: Eastern Tropics, Western Temperate, Eastern Temperate, Western Tropics, Eastern Tundra, Western Tundra, High Desert, Low Desert.

Acceptable temperatures for Sheep mating and offspring are between 18c and 36c. 2.5 hour gestation period.

The Males will charge with their horns, try to side dodge.
