Overview
Salt is a resource under the generic
Salt
type of resources. All the non-generic resources of this type are:
The various kinds of Salt are used in a large number of meals, are used as an ingredient in 
Preserving Salt (which is used in 
Preserving Bags to preserve food goods) and is required to make 
Cobalt Ingots in a 
Forge.
The most common way to find small amounts of Salt in the early game is to dig sandy beaches with a 
Shovel. Your success will depend on random luck, but may pay off with 1-4 units every now and again.
Salt nodes are best harvested with a 
Metal Pick or a 
Rhino.
You can also randomly obtain small amounts of Salt from 
Geodes which are harvested while mining rocks.
