Utility[edit | edit source]

Tamed lions can serve as combat units and/or combat mounts. The lion is a tier 3 tame and thus requires tier 3 taming/mounting/commands to interact with it.

Lion mounts have two attacks, a fast basic attack (left click), and a lockjaw bite attack (right click), pushing c makes the Lion roar.

The bite attack is on a small cooldown (roughly 10 seconds) and is represented on the UI with a recharging helmet icon.

The bite has a unique function; the lion can grab a target and carry it in front of itself. While carrying a target, the lion can still sprint, turn, jump and even basic attack.

On unofficial PVE server, you must AllowFlyerCarryPvE=True under [ServerSettings] to the server's GameUserSettings.ini, this will allow a lion to grab an animal. On official PVE server, the AllowFlyerCarryPvE seems to have false as value because lion right click doesn't grab an animal but make damage like the left click.

Nature's cry and Healing Touch can be activated during the bite attack, allowing the lion to deal even more damage or heal itself during the attack.

Breeding[edit | edit source]

You can Breed Lions in the following biomes: Eastern Tropics, Western Temperate, Eastern Temperate, Eastern Tundra, Western Tundra, Equatorial, High Desert, Low Desert.

Acceptable temperatures for Lion mating and offspring are between 19c and 37c.

Gestation time is 4 hours 45 minutes.

Combat[edit | edit source]

The Lion runs fast with high damage output with a lower HP. Head shots work well. BEWARE they can bite, catch you or your mount into their jaws, holding on and damaging you overtime. Hitting them with a weapon will release you from this grab.
