Overview[edit | edit source]

The Lighthouse is a player-craftable structure that serves as a landmark and navigation aid.

Usage[edit | edit source]

As befitting its functions, the lighthouse is a large structure and requires a suitably-sized patch of land for placement. At the time of writing the model does not extend very far into the ground and there will be visible gaps underneath if a lighthouse is placed on uneven terrain.

When supplied with suitable fuel (Thatch.png Thatch, Wood.png Wood or Oil.png Oil) and activated, the lamp will glow brightly and is visible at a further distance than ships and regular building structures. Note that although the lighthouse inventory displays as 'campfire', it cannot be used to cook food.

The size of the base of the lighthouse is 15,5 x 15,5 foundations.

A Lighthouse placed at the edge of the water in a land claim will attract merchant ships. <further details requested>

Painting[edit | edit source]

The Lighthouse currently seems to be bugged when attempting to load paints from a saved paint. Players may lose connection/time out when attempting to do so.

You can successfully load the painting if you reduce the size of your image on the available 1024x1024 canvas.

An example of a known working image size for the Lighthouse.
The Lighthouse is also very useful to use at night to illuminate the local area. The amount of wood that it burns in comparison to the amount of light it generates makes it well worth the investment.
