Cloth Pants are a Leg-slot armor piece from the first tier of Armors, Cloth. Its low material cost makes it easy for beginners to craft, it is unlocked per skill The Basics in Survivalism skill tree.

Usage[edit | edit source]

Cloth Pants provides both an armor bonus vs damage (attacks/falling) and an insulation bonus vs the elements (heat/cold).

This Item is part of the Cloth Armor set.

Coloring[edit | edit source]

Like most items, Cloth Pants can be dyed different colors. One Black Ink.png Black Ink is consumed anytime the player changes the color of a region.
Region 1 - Bulk of the Cloth Pants' material, from thighs to shins.
Region 2 - The belt and side-pouches.
Region 3 - The bottom cuffs.
Region 4 - The kneepads.

Remember that dyed items require repair for continued use; newly crafted items come without any color.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Aside from providing rudimentary protection, Cloth Pants (as well as the rest of the Cloth Armor set) are notable for reducing the effects of both Hot & Cold temperatures.
  • Because of its temperature-negating properties and light weight, experienced players are recommended to carry Cloth Pants in their inventory to switch out with their primary armor during extreme Heat and/or Cold. This is especially helpful during long excursions from the player's base, where otherwise the player would be devoid of temperature-controlling elements.
