Description[edit | edit source]

Cloth Armor is the first tier of armor available to players. It provides very good protection from heat and minor protection from cold, but very little protection from physical damage. Each piece provides 5 armor, for a total of 25 with a full set. The Cloth Armor It is unlocked on the basics skill The Basics on the Survivalism skill tree node, and is craftable using only Cotton.png Fibers and Skin.png Hide.

All parts are craftable in the Inventory.

Usage[edit | edit source]

A full set of Cloth Armor provides 29 cold protection (Hypothermic), and 60 heat protection (Hyperthermic).

Item Armor Hypothermic Hyperthermic Weight
Cloth Hat.png Cloth Hat 5 5 10 1.05
Cloth Shirt.png Cloth Shirt 5 7 15 2.45
Cloth Gloves.png Cloth Gloves 5 5 10 0.7
Cloth Pants.png Cloth Pants 5 7 15 3.15
Cloth Boots.png Cloth Boots 5 5 10 1.05
Full Set 25 29 60 5.565

Because of its temperature-negating properties and light weight, experienced players are recommended to carry Cloth Armor in their inventory to switch out with their primary armor during extreme Heat and/or Cold. This is especially helpful during long excursions from the player's base, where otherwise the player would be devoid of temperature-controlling elements.

When you need more hypothermic protection focus on Hide Armor or the maximum hypothermic protection with Fur Armor. If you want more Armor Protection you need to focus the Plate Armor.
