The Basics of Shields skill in ATLAS can be learned by the Pathfinder allowing them to defensive clothing and items. Those players wishing to increase their defense will focus on this skill line.
You are now able to build a Wooden Shield and Heavy Shields with Blueprints up to Common Quality.
